Idolising Nova are Jack Fulton Smith, Kyle O’Sullivan and Christy Hoyles, a pop / indie pop band from Peterborough, UK.
Since forming in 2016 their music has been played on BBC Radio 2, Radio X, ITV’s ‘This Morning’, Sirius XM in the US, Nova in Australia, Kerrang! Radio, BBC Radio Wales and BBC Introducing Cambridgeshire, as well as charting on the radio and Shazam charts in Qatar!
The band have also performed live on the late, great Janice Long’s show on BBC Radio Wales, they’ve performed at the BBC Broadcasting House in London and they’ve done numerous interviews and live sessions with BBC Introducing Cambridgeshire, who have selected many Idolising Nova singles as their ‘Track of The Week’.
Alex Baker from Kerrang! Radio said “I came across these guys a few weeks ago and I’ve just fallen in love with them! They are writing sick, timeless tunes and it’s very exciting”.
Idolising Nova take pride in being a good live band, with their aim being that people leave a gig feeling like they have watched a show, rather than simply watched the band play their songs. This is reflected in the crowd interaction and stage presence at shows, as well as big intros and extended versions of their songs.
“Idolising Nova have made themselves a name as a captivating live act” – Indie Is Not a Genre
Live shows of note include supporting The Vamps on their 2018 and 2023 European tours, 4 sold-out hometown shows, slots at La French Escapade in Paris, main stage at 110 Above (2019), a headline slot on The Saloon Stage at Y Not Festival (2018), and regular shows all over the UK with touring bands/artists.
Idolising Nova were main support for The Hunna on their sold-out UK tour in November 2021, entertaining crowds at iconic venues including O2 Forum Kentish Town (London), O2 Apollo (Manchester), O2 Institute (Birmingham), Rock City (Nottingham), O2 Academy (Glasgow) and more!
In 2023, as well as supporting The Vamps on their European tour, Idolising Nova played headline shows in London, Paris and Cologne, and they released 3 singles which amassed hundreds of thousands of streams.
